Dear Portkey community members,
We wanted to inform you that we will be discontinuing the chat feature in Portkey Deprecated, effective as of 6:00 April 15, 2024 (UTC). This means that users of the deprecated Portkey App and extension will no longer be able to chat with fellow users starting from the stipulated time. Please note that related data won’t be retained, meaning users won’t be able to view chat histories or other associated records.
It’s important to note that this only impacts the deprecated Portkey. The chat function remains fully functional in the upgraded Portkey, serving as a vital channel for fostering connections and beyond. Through the chat function, Portkey users can communicate with each other seamlessly, enjoying features such as the crypto box and direct transfer for enhanced user experiences.
Although the deprecated Portkey App and extension still serve as a crypto wallet and allow users to manage assets, they will no longer receive updates, as we have previously announced. Consequently, we warmly invite all users of the deprecated Portkey to transition to the upgraded Portkey. The transition process is simple and can be completed in three easy steps:
- Download the upgraded Portkey
Note: The upgraded Portkey App/extension can coexist alongside the deprecated versions, and you can easily distinguish them through their names.
2. Create an account
You can sign up using emails, Google accounts, Apple IDs, or Telegram accounts. Here is the guide. (Note: It’s acceptable to use the same credentials as your previous Portkey account for this new account creation.)
3. Transfer assets
Once the account is set up, you can transfer all your assets in the deprecated Portkey to the upgraded Portkey. Here is a step-by-step tutorial.
As we move forward, Portkey will gradually phase out the deprecated version as all future enhancements are implemented exclusively on the upgraded Portkey App/extension. We appreciate your continued support for Portkey and remain committed to refining our services and enhancing user experience.
